ASUS (EA-N66) Dual Band N450 Ultra-Fast Wireless 3-In-1 (AP, Repeater, Ethernet Adapter) Adapter With High-Power

I tried a couple of repeaters first, but they could not boost the signal adequately to penetrate into my son's bedroom. After this arrived, my 16 year old son had it working in 5 minutes. He is using it in ethernet adaptor mode, connected to the computer in his bedroom with a short cable. My wife is happy that we don't have a cable running diagonally across the living room any more.

I had 2 two-years old APs, both are Linksys WAP54G, linked together at about 200 ft apart. I used a signal booster at one of these APs. One of AP's power adapter mulfuntioned so I decided to replace it with a better one. I searched and read a good review about Asus EA-N66 so I decided to try it out. Setup interface is well detailed and informative. I set it up as a Wireless Access Point mode only, using 2.4 GHz frequency and selected Auto for the Wireless Mode setting. I updated it firmware to the latest, 1.0.1.7D, before fully operational. Over my previous AP, the size is smaller, lighter and the signal strenght is great. The signal had 15% improved strength and about 50ft increased distance. The old Linksys AP managed to pick up the signal and successfully linked and my smartphone also detected the signal and connected as N mode successfully. Overall this is a great product.

Ordered 10 of these for 9 lab pc's just in case 1 didn't work. All worked without a problem. Did not bother with cd, installed latest utlity from Asus's website which includes driver. Getting ready to order 3 more.

The card fit my thin cabinet without any problem, and it speeded up our access to the network and the web significantly. And the price was right!

ASUS (PCE-N10) Wireless-N Network Adapter (150Mbps Transmit / 150Mbps Receive) with PCI-E Interface, Include Full Height and Low Profile bracket, WPS Button Support

Installed pretty easy. Manually used driver from CD, and it worked right off the bat. Have excellent connection strength, and haven't had any disconnects in a month. One thing to note, this card did have one capacitor sticking out the bottom. Because my graphics card is humongous, I had to bend the capacitor slightly out of the way (the wires pulled out some) but I have not had any problems.

On 802.11b, maintains 54 Mbps wireless connection 25 ft away through multiple walls. I noticed that even though there's only one antenna, it's longer than the PCE-N15 I used for a previous build, so it's actually quite OK. Very small form factor and comes with adapter plate for narrow cases. Make sure to select Windows (not Asus) wireless settings when installing the Asus drivers on the included CD.
